This last month has been busy. Having said that, I did finally establish my routine and have grounded myself, so in general I feel ready to take on life… or more realistically, this coming month, haha. But, I can’t believe it’s almost the end of the year already! Or that I’m going to be turning nineteen soon…
But, I swear, January was only yesterday! I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since my study exchange in England. It’s scary how fast time flies, especially now that I’m out of school (eeeeek!), but I guess this realisation also motivates me to be more productive with my time… while I still have it, xD.
*dies of old age*
ANYWAY, it’s been around a month since I’ve moved into my share house. I new Japanese girl has moved in and she’s the sweetest girl and such a good homemaker! She’s going to make a good wife by Japanese standards. Hopefully, I’ll end up eventually doing some stuff with her and the Dutch girl.
The language school is getting intense again. I’ve never had to study every day until I came here. In a way, I think it’s good because it’s teaching me study habits, and what studying so I can pass really means, haha. I guess that’s what I get for signing up for a program that teaches you a year’s worth of Japanese in three months. I really do, though, like how effectively they teach.
I’ve also planned and booked tickets to go to my Chinese friend’s home over the winter break! I’m so excited. I’ve never been to China before, and the fact that I’ll be staying with an actual Chinese family in their hometown is just so cool. I feel like I’ll really get to experience her unique culture, which is much more valuable to me, than taking a selfie with some building, LOL.
Organising the visa for that, though, was a mission. I had to go to the visa application place three times before I could successfully hand in my application *sigh*. But I did it, and that’s all that matters, 😊.
Halloween also happened, that was cool. I didn’t go trick or treating though… but I did have quite an adventure at Shibuya. And, as I found out, that’s the place to go for Halloween, hehe.
Last month I also tried to establish an exercise routine; night jogging. I find it just puts me in a more healthier and happier mindset. But we’ll see how that holds up as it gets colder and colder… D:
I’ve also joined a local (forty minutes away, kill me) karate club. So far, I’ve only been to one lesson, but I’m liking it! I wanted to do it to get more exposure to Japanese people because I’m still quite in my foreigner bubble. Luckily though, that foreigner bubble contains quite a lot of Koreans and Chinese, not just English-speaking Americans.
Yeah… I think that’s about it.
Until next time,
